Hi! I’m Kexin Wang, currently doing research at MIT CSAIL HCIE Group advised by Prof. Stefanie Muller. I graduated from both Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design with a joint master degree. My research interest focuses on digital fabrication, apparel/textile technology, bio art, affective computing, and generative AI. Otherwise, I used to be a fashion designer worked in several fashion brands and obtained a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from China Academy of Art.

Exploring Fungal Morphology Simulation and Dynamic Light Containment from a Graphics Generation Perspective

This study presents a zero-coding, neural network-driven cellular automaton for fungal morphology simulation. Using image segmentation and time-series prediction models, the automaton learns fungal spread patterns and controls them with dynamic laser containment, allowing the fungus to grow into pre-designed complex shapes, synchronizing real-world behaviors with the simulation.
